【PROFILE】
MERRY was formed in October 2001 by GARA (vo), YUU (g), KENICHI (g), TETSU (b) and NERO (ds). In February 2002, they established an independent label named “GEKIYAKU RECORDS.” They released a number of special packages and limited editions of their work and gained much attention for their unconventional live performance.

After releasing 2 full albums and holding a successful live at Shibuya Koukaidou, MERRY made their major debut in September 2005 with their 3rd album “nu Chemical Rhetoric.” Within the following 4 years, they continued to release various forms of music and video clips, including 4 original albums. Moreover, they unfolded a unique journey of lives which covered both music scenes of the mainstream and underground with their firm lineup that they not only went on a nationwide tour which included locations of all 47 prefectures, but also performed in Europe.

As MERRY drew the curtain of their one-man live [MERRY or Die ~XXXX~] at AKASAKA BLITZ on 5/8/2010, they changed their management to sun krad Co.Ltd., the management company of DIR EN GREY and 12012. MERRY’s very 1st double A-side single under the new management, “The Cry Against… / Monochrome,” will be released on 8/4. 【PROFILE】
ガラ(vo）、結生(g)、健一(g)、テツ(b)、ネロ(ds）により2001年10月結成。2002年2月に自主レーベルの劇薬レコードを設立。特殊仕様や限定生産による数々のアイテムをリリースし、型破りなライヴ・パフォーマンスでたちまち話題に。

2枚のフルアルバム発表や渋谷公会堂での公演成功などを経て、2005年9月に3rdアルバム『nuケミカルレトリック』メジャー・デビュー。以降4年間のうちに4枚のオリジナル・アルバムをはじめとするさまざまな音源や映像作品のリリースを重ね、さらには47都道府県すべてを網羅した全国ツアー、欧州遠征、横浜文化体育館での公演など、メインストリームとアンダーグラウンド双方の特性を活かしながら不動のラインナップでシーンを席巻してきた。
